1- Old Friends, New Girls: Part 1 ~Vivian's POV~
Yay!
Today's the big day.
I'm a
fairy, and today I was leaving for Alfea II.
Alfea II
was an exact replica of the original Alfea, which burned down from a dark fire
recently. The damage was irreparable, and right now, Alfea II was the new fairy
school. It had the name spelled across the gateway in gold letters, which was
about the only difference. The pink and blue turrets were still standing strong
and beautiful as they did before the fire. My mom showed me the castle once
when I was little.
That was
before Alfea burned down.
I'm the
princess of Dreamensia, and my parents are the king and queen. I was supposed
to stay there and help control the Veil of Feelings, a powerful force centered
around our kingdom. It is controlled by the Dreamensia Royal Tiara, a beautiful
and powerful crown. It has been passed down through generations so we can
control the Veil of Feelings and keep all emotions and dreams under control.
And,
since the tiara only truly obeys the princess of Dreamensia, I was controlling
the Veil. So naturally, while I waited to be let in to the school, I thought
about my last conversation with my mom before we left.
I had
been wearing my favorite casual clothes, a white denim jacket, a navy tank top,
pale blue ripped jeans, and long walnut leather boots. My brown hair was in a
ponytail and I had been facing my mother in a private room.
"Remember,
Viviana, the majority of feelings and dreams are tied to the Veil, controlled
by the tiara," she had said, dead serious. "It is magical, so it will
appear whenever needed and you must remember to use it to control the Veil. It
will reappear in this box when it isn't needed anymore. At Alfea II, be on
guard. Ever since the fire, there've been weird, odd, almost evil feelings
going around. Take care." Then we hugged, I grabbed my suitcase, and I
headed out the door to my waiting portal.

POV~
I pushed
Alfea's doors open, a file in my hand. The sunshine bounced off my golden hair
as I walked to meet the new fairy. The file was hers.
I saw a
girl with long, wavy, brown hair in a ponytail waiting at the gate. She was
wearing a white denim jacket, a navy tank top, pale blue ripped jeans, and long
walnut leather boots. Totally floaty-like and dreamy. But pretty.
Sorry, I
can't help it if I'm a fashion freak. I'm that kind of person, you know?
I opened
the gates, and the girl stepped inside. I waved my hand, and a black pencil
appeared. Ugh, I need to work on making prettier pencils.
I opened
her temporarily blank file and positioned the pencil to write while I talked.
"So,
your name is…" I started.
"Viviana,"
she answered.
"Um,
nice name?" I blurted out, amused. I'm sorta snarky too. "Do you, um,
expect me to call you that?"
She
scowled at me. "Just call me Vivian."
"Sorry,"
I said, moving on. "So you are the fairy of…"
"Emotional
Dreams. Meaning feelings and dreams."
"Ok,
So you are a princess?"
"Yeah."
"The
princess of…"
"Dreamensia."
"Age?"
"16."
Hey,
she's my age.
"Ok,
that wraps it up." I said, looking at what the pencil had written.
Something like:

Viviana (what kind of a name is that?)
Age: 16
Power:
Emotional Dreams (feelings and dreams)
Planet:
Dreamensia (princess)
Description:
None so far.
I erased
the name comment and added Vivian as her preferred nickname. Then I took her to
see the headmistress.
The
headmistress's name was Mrs. Lavina. The Winx used to run this place, but after
the fire they had to go protect their planets.
I guess
we have to make a new generation of heroines sometime.
Best be
now.
Or not.
